Here's our best, most authentic take on the classic early 50's Strat sound- The 59 professional Series. Overwound means we've wound each position hotter and fuller than vintage- You still get the classic Strat vibe but with more power and way more punch! If you're looking for maximum Strat clarity you might prefer a vintage wound set.
Made with all the good stuff- authentic black fiber bobbins, sand-cast Alnico V rod magnets, hand magnetized and set in the correct vintage stagger, beveled for the classic look and feel, heavy Formvar coil wire and even waxed cloth push-back wires.
These are wound very hot- We've added a hot bridge pickup at 8.6K, and combine it with equally stout 7K mid and 6.2K neck pickups...Chose either a normal wound mid pickup or an RW/RP mid for hum canceling in positions 2 and 4. If you're a true vintage tone freak you'll go for standard wound to maintain maximum "quack"...but for the gigging musician that hum canceling is awfully handy and you don't lose too much.
These come stock with white covers- and you may add vintage white, cream or black covers for a small fee.
