FINALLY- a suitable replacement for those great Barden pickups of the 80's and 90's. A true side by side blade humbucker wound to vintage single coil specs. 4 wire for Coil Tapping.
The 6.5K Bridge pickup has all the twang and snap of a great 60's Tele pickup- with NO NOISE WHATSOEVER- and a great gnarly edge. Through my 4-10 Super Reverb it's that snappy Nashville sound with HUGE bottom end and a sharp, focused midrange.
The 5.5K neck pickup is smooth and warm with a nice attack and great string response. We recommend mounting this so the top plat of the pickup is FLUSH with the pickguard- which might seem a little low for some of you- but these are very sensitive, and the extra space helps them "Breathe" a little.
