A great sounding Mini Humbucker designed to fit the popular "Firebird" format.
We've wound up a pretty crackin' little humbucker here- if you ask me. I've always loved the sound of minis, I've put em in Teles and strats and retrofitted Melody makers and the like, but never really found a mini that had BODY. So I really made sure that I would not release a GFS Mini Humbucker until I had some SACK dialed in. We've come up with a nice combination of a moderately overwound coil, oversized Alnico V magnet, all mounted in the classic metal case with matching trim ring.
I think if you've been let down by thin and lifeless minis in the past you owe it to yourself to try a pair of these. The Bridge is wound to a stout 8.6K, Neck a full and firm 7.55K. I think they sound wonderful- Like a good full sized PAF with about 20% of P90 dialed in.
As with all GFS pickups they come in a full retail package with all mounting hardware and our famous Illustrated wiring diagrams.
