The classic P Bass pickup is a genuine piece of genius.
Sure there have been a ton of great P-bass pickup wound over the years... But we think we have a nice design here. This is the very hot OVERWOUND set- Wound to a paint-peeling 16K, using ONLY the best stuff- Alnico V sand cast polepieces, Formvar plain enamel wire, genuine fiber bobbins, potted in a beeswax/parafin mixture, all hooked up with vintage style waxed cloth leads.
What we wanted was a very firm and full tone, with enough grit and dirt to really punish your amp- but with the extended bottom end that our GFS guitar pickups are already famous for.
We LOVE these pickups- and we really think you will too. Even on cheap Squiers we notice an almost unbelievable amount of low end grunt, snappy string response and sweet, round tone.
Like all GFS pickups these are shipped in retail boxes, with a GFS wiring diagram and all related installation hardware.
