The 500 features Solid woods- Solid Mahogany Back, Long tenon glued-in mahogany neck with bound rosewood fingerboard, and a SOLID 3/4" maple cap with stunning highly figured flame maple top. The high quality woods compliment the high quality electronics... full sized Alpha brand potentiometers and genuine GFS "Crunchy Pat" high output humbuckers.
Each XV-500 features medium Jumbo nickel-Silver frets- leveled and dressed at the factory for great playability. Priced hundreds of dollars below similar set neck guitars that feature thin "veneer" tops, the XV-500 delivers the classic sound of Maple over Mahogany.. the true sound of rock and roll.
The Mother-of-Pearl Xaviere logo nicely compliments the elegant Stairstep headstock. Chrome hardware and vintage amber bell knobs complete the classic look. We select our woods for quality, figuring and overall weight. Most XV-500's weigh in the 8- 8 1/2 lb range.
