Description

The Astrea AS820 is our very best acoustic guitar. ALL SOLID woods- from the solid AAAA Canadian Western Red Cedar top to the African Mahogany sides and backs- no ply, all solid. The 820 is also extremely well adorned, with abalone purfling about the body, back and fingerboard. The headstock sports an abalone "Astrea" logo on the rosewood face and thin maple purfling, creating an elegant effect.

The extremely high quality Cedar we use gives this guitar a smoother, warmer tone with explosive response and a rich low end. This is a completely hand made instrument. We've compared it side by side with solid wood Cedar Topped dreadnaughts costing well over $1,000 and fine the 810's great low end, clear treble and full, firm, loud voice to be extremely competitive.

We've added one of our best acoustic/electric units - Our GFS EAP540 preamp and our ATZ055 under saddle piezo pickups. This is a tremendous electric system.

The GFS EAP-540 is an incredibly sophisticated four band Acoustic preamp. It includes a bright LED display that makes tuning a snap even in the most dimly lit environments.

This is one of the most stable tuners we've ever used... a perfect choice for louder stages. A built-in phase control allows you to get your amplified sound in phase with mic'd acoustic sound- your soundman will LOVE you! The single rotary volume control makes fine tuning your volume a "no look" affair.

The AS810 is a standard Dreadnaught shape, and fits all of our Dreadnaught cases. Compare this to SOLID wood guitars at 2 to 3 times the price!
