This XGP Deluxe Tele body is cut from solid Alder, same as they used on vintage guitars. The real deal wood! These match the real 1960s-1970s "Tele Deluxe" style body setup exactly with the Strat style heel, but these CAN accommodate a TELE style neck heel, just use one of our pickguards. Correct vintage thickness- a touch over 1 3/4", and cut to accommodate bridge and neck humbuckers up to and including the oversized Fender "Wide-Range" pickups or our own GFS Wide-Tone pickups. We sell pickguards to accommodate the vintage pickup AND pickguards to accommodate normal humbuckers! The body is predrilled- with six top holes that line up perfectly with all vintage-correct tele bridges, and 6 rear ferrules holes that fit perfectly with our vintage spec 9mm ferrules with a 10mm shoulder, Item # K13, K14, and K15. The neck pocket is routed to a vintage correct 2 3/16" width, and fits our necks and most real Fender Brand necks perfectly. Take a good look- the thin, hard vintage finish, the perfect contours- this body will work with our hardtail style bridges.
