This is my favorite of the aftermarket strat trems- nice steel construction with screwed-in cast sustain block- vintage style bent steel saddles- claw, arm screws, springs- and most importantly CORRECT USA 2 7/32" STRING SPACING- dressed up in Gorgeous Gold Plating!!
Most non-fender® branded parts use a narrower string pitch- which is why that $20 bridge you bought on Ebay won't fit your USA strat. Here's the solution- the real deal- correct 2 7/32" string spacing- NOT 2 1/8" spacing!!! ESPECIALLY if you're starting with a kit body- get the right parts dude!
I dropped one on my 68 strat- PERFECT fit- Like a glove!
Be sure to screw the trem arm all the way down into the arm hole on the block. The first point of resistance does not mean the arm is fully inserted into the block and could lead to the arm snapping at its weak joint. The threads should not be visible when the arm is inserted correctly.
