REDactive Strat Sized pickups deliver true vintage warmth, tone and "feel" but with a total absence of buzz and hum.
The "DIP SWITCH" versions of REDactive pickups incorporate a user-selectable preamp and EQ section- You can chose standard or +10db output gain, and chose from normal or +12db boost for Treble and Bass. This is PERFECT to balance pickups by position or give an unusually dead or thin guitar the extra bass or treble it needs!
The true test of a great set of Strat pickups is the feel... the tone bleeding out of your fingertips... the big round bottom, the relaxed midrange, the glassy shimmering highs and of course.. the in-between "quack" sounds. REDactive Strat Sized pickups give you all of that, and more. We start with a very narrow aperture noise cancelling pickup with genuine Alnico magnets, shielded to virtually eliminate all 6 cycle hum, buzz and RF frequencies. We then add our own preamp that gives you exceptional clarity, feel and power. It's a great vintage Strat that goes not to "11" but goes to "20".... Want power? We got it.
Now once we had the glorious vintage Strat sound with no noise and bags of gain, we noticed that we just could not get the "quack" right. So since we're completely nuts, we designed THREE DIFFERENT PICKUPS- Bridge, Middle and Neck. Each position has its own custom wound coils and custom voiced preamp. This is the ONLY WAY to get the real vintage vibe right. Trust me... it works, because one size does not fit all.
Each REDactive Strat Sized Pickup comes retail boxed with screws, springs and a cable to attach to the three pin connectors on the back of the pickup. We recommend 25K volume and tone pots and a .3uf tone capacitor. We sell ALL the components for solder-install as well as our complete solderless "Plug-N'Play" system components. If you'd rather have all the components pre-chosen and bagged- we do that too!
