The "Secret Sauce" of the SBS Single Coils is our unique coil winding system. We've wound a very efficient, fully shielded coil and paired it with six sand cast Alnico II rod magnets. The result is a Strat set with an unusually full midrange and bottom end that works great with distortion! The middle position pickup is Reverse Wound/Reverse Polarity, so positions 2 and 4 are humbucking!
Like all SBS pickups, this set is designed by Steve Brown in
the USA. They feature the GFS proprietary "Kwikplug" system so you can
swap pickups out in an instant- NOTHING ELSE TO BUY- they come with a
standard solder lead just like any replacement pickup, but ALSO can be
instantly plugged into any SBS guitar or GFS pickup harness. Each pickup
comes with a solder lead, white AND black covers, springs and screws.
