This pickup set's impedance levels vary per pickup between 5k - 6k.
Have you seen the reviews on these at the fender® forum and at Harmonycentral.com?
For that round, sweet, fat vintage strat tone with plenty of bite. These brand new GFS "Vintage Alnico Staggers" are custom designed to provide all the great vintage tone with an amazingly complex mid-high balance. Going back and forth between these and a "VERY EXPENSIVE" set of "Boutique" pickups it was easy to notice the added sparkle, crystalline clarity and Stevie Ray "swamp" tone with the GFS pickups!
You get a C/W, R/W (Reverse Polarity), C/W pickup set and the impedance varies between 5k - 6k on all positions, so they are roughly the same output levels.
I've installed about a bazillion pickups in strats in the last 25 years, and I assure you that these pickups can hang with the best of the "Boutique" handmade pickups out there- really.
The "Vintage Alnico Staggers" have all of the boutique components- sweet correct vintage styled Alnico 5 magnets, staggered cut nickel polepieces, genuine 42 gauge Formvar copper windings, all individually vacuum impregnated with genuine Paraffin wax. This set is calibrated for the neck, middle and bridge position. To create a "Humbucking" effect, the middle pickup is reverse wound- now positions 2 and 4 on your 5-way are NOISELESS.
Don't forget about our even HIGHER END Premium set- for about $20 more you get fiber bobbins, beveled polepieces, enamel wire and real beeswax potting. If you want real vintage strat tone, but with the modern features like R/w middle pickup, and vacuum impregnated paraffin wax soaking, then these should fit the bill. To give your strat some beef, the bridge pickup is wound just a little bit hotter, but not too hot to lose that vintage spank.
You get ALL THREE pickups, screws and springs. This set is a final sale item.
