The all new GFS True-Coils offer the truest, purest single coil sound with almost none of the typical single coil noise.

True-Coils use an old-school vintage style single coil pickup mated to an under-wound coil that is strategically placed to retain ALL of the vintage warmth, body and clarity while reducing almost all of the 60 cycle hum. We use old school fiber bobbins, Formvar wire, sand-cast Alnico V magnets and the whole assembly is shielded with copper and then individually wax potted for squeal free performance.

The unique design and architecture of the True-Coils offer the most authentic single coil experience we’ve yet heard, but hum canceling. You can purchase each pickup separately to create your own set, or order one of our three discounted pickup sets.

The impedance of each true-Coil includes the noise canceling coil- so assume that each pickup will sound about the same as a single pickup with 15% less measured impedance.

The vintage wound set gives you the sweetest, purest 50’s Strat sound. The Texas set gives you a hotter, over-wound bridge pickup- for lead rock work in the bridge and classic swampy blues in the mid and neck. The Over-wound set gives you a hotter, fuller sounding guitar in all positions.

Of the three noise canceling Strat sets we offer- the true-Coils are the most authentic single-coil sound and output volume with very effective noise canceling. The Neovins offer a completely noiseless performance, and the Lil Killers offer a thicker, more “humbucker” style sound.
